I have also ... But in our basement. It has caused a sewer backup. Our sewer backup, because we have a bunch of garbage, and I keep "accidentally" let the food go down the drain. (I have done all that my husband is cleaning the drain and ill get a garbage disposal.) Anyway, I do not know what the cause of sound, so it is best to call from a plumber and check it out.
